Analysis Paper Topics For the End of Your Film
In the beginning of any film analysis paper topics such as audience reaction and the score, etc are often taken for granted. They are no doubt important to the film maker, but they are not usually considered as 'story beats' that bring about the drama. When I was studying film in school I never cared much about this because it did not happen to me in my classes.
As the years passed by though, I started to think about the questions a little more and start asking the students to think about it. It dawned on me that in the grading of the film we were trying to determine the film's class participation and audience participation, not its narrative, dialogue. This may seem odd, but one has to wonder why directors continue to regard the story beats of their films as the main story beats!
When analyzing films analysis paper topics like 'What happened at the end' is not as important as 'What did the protagonists learn from that moment? '.
