College essays are of several types, and some require students to decide what type of topic to write about. Usually, the subject is something that can be easily understood by the student. In fact, it will be a lot easier for them to work on the essay if they have a general idea of what it's about.
One type of college essay topics is news and events. News and events are topics that can be of many different types. There are stories about global issues and topical situations, but these are still good topics for an essay.
If the student wants to write a story about a political event, then they need to write about the main theme of the event. For example, a student can write a story about a mayor who was put in power because of the tragic events of a bombing. When the mayor was appointed by the nation's president, the nation's president would then become a politician.
The second type of college essay topics are those that deal with everyday life or daily life scenarios.
